We stayed at Cilhendre during the summer and it was bliss. Our cottage was very comfortable and we were made to feel welcome by the owners Linda and Norman who live nearby. The cottages are in a quiet, rural spot in the beautiful Welsh hills with amazing views. We often enjoyed a quiet drink in the evenings on the patio outside the cottages where you can relax and enjoy the view. It was one of the most relaxing breaks we've had in ages and we will definitely be back!

We have stayed in two of the three cottages on four separate holidays. Norman and Lynne always give a warm "Welsh" welcome. The cottages are very well equipped, and if by some small chance you can't find what you need, with in reason Gareth and Diane will endeavour to provide it for you. This place is a real home from home and our five year old son constantly asks "When can we go back?" It you want a relaxing holiday in any season with great access to so many things to do, then Cilhendre Farm Cottages is the place for you. Simply amazing!!

We had a very warm welcome from Gareth and Diane, the new owners, who are very helpful and friendly. We arrived to a lit log fire, beautiful Christmas decorations, new luxurious sofas, bedding and fluffy white towels. The views from the three cottages are stunning. We had a meal at the Tamarind Indian restaurant in Pontardawe main Street, which I would recommend. I would also recommend the Dan-yr-og-of caves and dinosaur park, the LC2 leisure centre with slides and wave machines, the mumbles/gower beaches and the national waterfront museum

We have today returned from a long weekend at Cilhendre Fawr Farm. The cottage was perfect for our family of 5. Clean, spacious, warm, with a vase of daffodils on the kitchen table and milk and tea bags provided. What more could you ask for? We would highly recommend

Fantastic weekend, wish we could have stayed longer

We had a fantastic week in South Wales staying at the diary cottage. Everything is exactly as it is on the pictures. Immaculately clean, crisp white sheets, fluffy towels etc. Views are spectacular, especially from the hot tub in the evening.

Would highly recommend. Many thanks. We hope to be back soon.

Visited the cottage in 2015 with family. This was the first time we stayed at a self-service cottage and we had prepared ourselves well with all the stuff we could require. The cottage and its location is out of this world - unbelievably beautiful with the view of the mountains and the town.

The cottage is on way to top of the mountain, so you can go for long walks or a run. The owners are warm and welcoming and ensure you have everything you need. The cottage is a lovely wooden cottage with a nice fireplace and nice furniture and you will not feel anything short. Beds are nice and clean and bedding is good. Its a lovely place to stay and you must visit it at least once. There are also some swings for kids and they can enjoy themselves. Town is a short drive away in case you need anything.

This was my first experience in a self - service cottage and i loved it

First of its kind stay. Just awsome

We had the most fantastic time in the Stone Barn at Cilhendre Fawr Farm, spending 3 nights here. We found the cottage in perfect condition and was lovely and warm on our arrival. The weather was rather disappointing for our stay but having such an amazing base for the weekend certainly made up for it. The weather also didn't stop us from making the most of the hot tub which was amazing and even in the grey weather the views were lovely!
The kitchen was well equipped and the log burning fire was a welcome asset to the cottage making it very cosy indeed.

Diane made checking in and out very easy, was no hassle at all. The setting is pretty idyllic and we felt very lucky to be there! We hope to return in the not so distant future and will certainly be recommending to all family and friends. Thanks for a lovely rural retreat!
